Hey! I'm Nicole.
I’m an Emmy nominated on-camera host and filmmaker at The Washington Post where I cover social issues, and breaking news.
I earned my B.A. from Columbia University, and my M.S. in Journalism at Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, with a concentration in documentary film. My thesis documentary, Blind Date, received the 2016 Nevada Film Festival Silver Screen Award, was a finalist for Best Documentary Short at the Middlebury New Filmmaker Festival, and screened at the 2016 DOC NYC Film Festival, among others.
I'm a former member of the CNN Heroes production team, a Peabody Award and Emmy-winning series that honors everyday people for their selfless, creative efforts to help others. I've also worked with CNN's Social and Video teams, shooting, producing, and editing original content for CNN.com.
I studied anthropology in college, and took a self funded two-year trip around the world to learn about different cultures before diving into journalism. I'm a passionate storyteller, lifelong learner, and professional listener.
